Private Instruction for Individuals or Groups

On Point Precision Shooting is owned by NRA-certified firearm educators and Colorado Hunter Education Instructors. We have decades of firearms experience in recreational shooting, hunting, and personal defense. We have worked with shooters of all levels to develop their skills.

Whether you have never held a firearm before, or are looking to hone your skills in a specific discipline, we would be glad to work with you on your schedule.

Colorado SSF classes (SSF purchase) and CO Hunter Education classes

SSF classes are required to purchase listed Specified Semiautomatic Firearms (SSFs) effective August 1, 2026

Four hour classes are available for current Hunter Education card holders. A 12 hour class is required for those without Hunter Ed.

On Point Precision Shooting can help with a combined Hunter Education and Firearms Safety Program (SSF) track to give you the most bang for your buck and time in the classroom.

Hunter education classes are hosted regularly. Please contact us with special requests.

Colorado Concealed Carry Weapons Permit Classes

Colorado Concealed Carry Weapons Permit (CCW Permit) courses are available for permit acquisition and permit renewals.

Courses consist of classroom time and live fire on the shooting range.

ABOUT US

On Point Precision Shooting is owned and operated by Jared, who is former military and law enforcement with decades of hunting and shooting experience. He is an NRA certified firearms instructor and range safety officer, Colorado Hunter Education Instructor, and a Colorado Firearms Safety Program (SSF) Instructor. Jared is also a Colorado Concealed Carry Weapons Permit instructor in Montrose County, Colorado.

We emphasize safety in everything we do and have worked with shooters of all ages and skill levels. Whether it’s your first time handling a firearm or you are looking to improve your skills, we are glad to help you fulfill the legal requirements to hunt, carry, or purchase firearms in Colorado and to become more skilled with those firearms.
